Re: Jeremy..Re: Starting Water Fast

Hello Chrisb1,

I think it would be beneficial to those who are less knowledgable on the subject if you could much more specific. Since you seem to care about this issue, I wonder if you would mind: a) listing *which* advice (all of it?) is contrary, and b) to what is it contrary? I would greatly appreciate it if you could cite a specific paper or any research that supports your claim. I am not saying it goes not exist, but I think you will agree that it is far better to work give specific references than just say "Nuh-uh, you're wrong," which is your essential conclusion.

Next, let's not conflate two separate but equally important issues. One being experience; the second being professional knowledge/recommendations. Assuming we are even on the same page when it comes to discussing that which constitutes quality fasting supervision, you must agree that objective data acquired via the scientific method is not the same as the personal experience that you and I have. So again, let's please not conflate these two issues.

In conclusion:

>>Your advice here is contrary

Please be specific. It otherwise does not help newbies who are otherwise already overwhelmed.

>>to that given by the vast majority of health >professionals in fasting supervision, over the last 200 years.

Which is what? Please cite sources linked to real medical journals, otherwise it's all considered "speculation" by the scientific community. And I don't think anyone on here wants you to merely "speculate" with their health. Thank you.

>You may be experienced and know a great deal, but then so do some of us >here, including myself with over 32 years of study of the fast and nutrition, >and >having undergone 2 prolonged water-only fasts myself.

I assume you have a point here, though I'm afraid I don't understand it. I assume it is about having credentials? Giving more weight of authority to your statements?

>You opinion and experience here does not conform to the majority of >professionals who have vast experience themselves with the fast and its >supervision.

Again, please delineate and elaborate on this. My personal, non-professional feeling here is that you either a) utterly misunderstood my post; or b) are flat out wrong and have been mislead in your knowledge.

>Advice on juice-feasting or juicing is not relevant to the subject of the forum.

I gave plenty of good advice regarding Water Fasting should she wish to pursue that. Did you read my post or just skim it?

I think it would be more beneficial to those seeking knowledge if you would keep your personal feelings out of your discussions, and please be more specific when discussing ideas of such importance.

Undertaking a Water Fasting is a very serious matter, and it is dangerous to listen to folks who claim they have all the answers, especially when they hint at "all the experts" et cetera but never make any credible references.

Caveat emptor!

Jeremy
