Don't forget before getting your aldosterone tested you should have no added sodium or potassium for 24 hours at least. My doctor knew nothing about this and did not tell me. Eating no salt is difficult because when you have low alsosterone you feel better when you have lots of sodium, salt. I ate lots of it and still my aldosterone came back low. When I went back to the doctor all she said was that my aldosterone was below what they worry about. But it was way below. She would not prescribe any aldosterone suppliment. so I take an adrenal cortex pill and I am feeling better. I have had low thyroid off and on and take a small amount of T3 but it is the adrenal cortex that makes me feel better. I would like to hear about others experience with similar problem and what makes you feel better?
