Nobody uses a cloth on the jar. They need good drainage. They need to be kept from drying out but not setting in water after the initial soak.

You need to rinse them a couple times a day to remove enzyme inhibitors. Not all seeds are going to sprout at the same time.

Seeds need to be kept dry, in a dark place, out of extreme temperatures until they are used. Something may be wrong with the seeds. You need organic sprouting seeds.
