can i use cloth sheet to cover it? what other option i could use that easy to get?
soak for 8 hours only not longer? i noticed when i soak it there some that flake and some don't, do i have to make all flaky or its okay if its not? also i read that to avoid mold have to use sterilize water? is it really necessary?

These methods will work below. I just use tap water. I wouldn't use cloth as it doesn't breath as well. The smaller the seeds the shorter time you soak and the less seeds in volume you will need.
