Re: Severe Adrenal Fatigue TWICE
Well I can say I totally understand what you are going through. I myself ahave had to start over several times. It all strted for me 3 years ago. I had a severe reaction to an antidepessant, then was put on xanax, then had to withdrawl from those after only being on them for a couple weeks. Struggled for a couple of years then kind of snapped out of it for a couple weeks and was like YES I got my life back. Then I go a sinus infection, took some
Antibiotics and BOOM, back to square one but even worse. I have been struggling for the last year but was seeing some progress in the last 3 months. Sleeping on my own, less anxiety, ect. Then again got streph throat, bronchitis and took too much hydrocortisone and ibuprophrn to calm my immune system per my doctor and crashed again because now my stomache is just ruined and all the inflammation is making me sick again. Took sleep meds that I had taken previously and those screwed me up even further. So I guess what I am my saying is, yes I know how you feel. All this and I am raising two kids while my husband works in Canada. I have lost 3 years of being able to be there for them and mising out on crucial milestones that I will never get back and yes I MISS my life and being the vibrant fun loving mom I use to be. Here is the thing though, you can't get caught up in the being afraid of Benzos thing. The information out there is very conflicting. Benzos are the most studied drug on the market and they have been around forever. The problem lies in not treating the underlying condition that you got on the benzos for in the first place. They are a means to an end,but if you are just using them for anxiety without treating the underlying medical condition which is causing the anxiety then yes starting and stopping them is going to be an issue. I made the mistake of thinking that all my problems were related to benzo withdrawl until I found out that all the anxiety comes from inflammation in the body, which causes a ton of adrenaline which causes anxiety. So thing is to find the source of inflammation, whether it be thyroid issue, gut issue, nutritional deficiancies, ect. Ect. Then that is when you will start to see true progress. That is why Hydrocortisone helped. It is your bodies natural anti inflammatory. The problem is not with your adrenals but with your brains signaling system send a message for too much or too little because inflmmatio in the brain will mess with your brains ssignaling system it is called HPA axis dysregulation. You can read about it on my Doctors website. Type in Dr. Romeo Mariano and adrenal fatigue or HPA axis dysregulatio. There are two people I have referred to my doctor who are doing well, but they r using medication to help regulate their nervous systems. I have been too afraid to try medication although for a while I did with mixed results. Anyways just wanted to share my story.
I do know how hard it is. I do know what it feels like to want to gve up. But really what choice is that? We must accept that this iks happening and just keep figting. You will find healing someday, just keep fighting.
