Re: Why is Water Only such a difficult fast concept to grasp?
Hi vanderkc,
I don't think anyone has caused a disruption or intended to, and I think it is healthy to engage in offering different perspectives and ideas, after all this is a democratic forum. My comments are not designed to be the "last word" or the "final declaration" on anything to do with this subject, and welcome differing inputs and sifting of ideas.
Ultimately, we make our own judgments and follow our own path, all we can do is offer and air our own experiences and the experiences of others who have gone before us in achieving our mutual goals.
You are absolutely right in my view that fasting is a private affair and an inner reflection, soul-searching if you will, and if this is combined with peace and tranquility during its conduct, and the post fast refeeding period, we have much to gain.
You are also right in avoiding any combative or challenging exchanges here or anywhere else for that matter, as it is indeed draining or enervating, and counterproductive to our aims of recuperating energies or the life-force we have lost, but then we should remember who instigated the thread and brought this about? Lessons are learnt every single day, and life is too short for any one individual to have all the answers. We live and learn from each other in a spirit of mutual cooperation with common aims and goals.
This is how it should remain.
Take care.
