Re: TMI I'm sure, but need advice on Candida and Semen Consumption. (If that sounds like too much to handle, skip this post, but I really do need advice)
I know other's are squeamish, but I say congrats on having a fun active sex life! :)
Now, down to the business of getting rid of your persistent infection...
I used to have a severe fungal/yeast (candida) infection that lasted 2 years. Finally saw a ENT specialist that prescribed an oral pill that knocked it out completely in 2 weeks. That was a God send because nothing else had worked. I was also informed that I needed to floss regularly, as it can find a safe place to grow out of control in your gums.
Since then I've also eliminated most refined carbohydrates that can create a source of fuel for this sort of thing. Importantly, I also removed gluten from my diet as it can create a leaky gut that allows fungal strains to become strongly rooted in you intestines. I then worked to restore my leaky gut by taking 4-8g of L-glutamine daily for a couple of months.
I'd also recommend taking a probiotic such as iFlora (ignore the dosing on the bottle and take only 1 per day for the first week). This will restore your bacterial balance. Bacteria and yeast fight for the same resources. Having a healthy supply of good bacteria in your system will prevent yeast/fungus from taking over. Even after you finish taking the bottle, I would go to your local whole foods market and purchase some fermented foods to add to your daily diet to keep your "ecosystem" healthy, or make your own if you're up for it (lookup "fermented foods" on Google).
Lastly, I'd also recommend you add regular daily consumption of green or red rooibos tea to your diet. Rooibos tea has anti-fungal properties, especially the green kind. This should further help keep it in check.
I also agree with other posters. If your going to continue ingesting his semen, he should probably find ways to improve his diet. Carrying a healthy lunch isn't as hard as you might think once you get into the habit of it. :)
Good luck and I hope this helps!
