Somebody I know has a 3/4 diameter lesion on her upper shoulder that won't heal and has been there for 6 months now, it also produces some pain. She has a history of melanoma but that was corrected with radical surgery including the lymph node removal over 30 years ago without recurrence. In the last couple of years I have given her Iodine which she has used to successfully eliminate smaller lesions on her arms. She hasn't had any Iodine to use on this one and I was unaware of it until the other day. She never has adopted drinking Iodine as I suggested to her, just used iodine topically along with wombat's high iodine cream but ran out some time ago. This new eruption looks serious and I don't want to play doctor this time without consulting VWT first. The image is a bit blurry from taking it too close up but I think good enough to get an idea. The center red spot is 3/4 inch across. What should she do?
