Some questions for ya
Turmeric has absorption issues in the gut, from what I have experienced.
What's a typical dose of turmeric that would equal, say 800 mg of Ibuprofen, for example?
What enhances absorption of turmeric and turmeric's curcuminoids? I've seen peppers used in supplements, including the alkaloid piperine to enhance absorption.
As HealthEnthusiast pointed out Ginger, it's important to note that Turmeric is in the Ginger family as well.
Do you think that fresh Turmeric would work better than extracts or dry/ground up turmeric?
I haven't shopped for whole Turmeric, but is it sold in common grocery stores?
Also, supplement forms are very expensive - especially with the anti-inflammatory push by media given that one must take a high dose to have a decent response.
