Re: Iodine can increase alkalinity...

Thanks for your post. You are right. It takes time to see if something is working.

I find all the info on alkalinity/acidity to be very confusing, and often conflciting on the net.

I try to eat tons of veggies along with other healthy and organic foods. Yes, veggies & some fruits get my alkalinity up to about 7 to 7.2, which is where it normally stays. But if my alalinity goes higher I have a lot more energy! If it reaches even 8.5 I'm a happy camper and whizzing around plus feeling more alert. That only happens if I use baking soda (I know one has to be cautious with that)in addition to the green smoothies etc., or with the iodine.

Again, I try to eat healthily. I take tons of supplements. When I got 40 some things tested in my blood from a lab everything was normal - except the thyroid was "normal" with 60 mg. of Armour. So it seems I'm eating right, but why do I feel so much better with a higher alkalinity? Any ideas?
