Re: Who can handle niacin?

Possibly not well informed.

Although it is synthetically manufactured, aspirin originally came from a natural source the bark of the willow tree and has been used for over 2000 years. It has tremendous healing properties, including being anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer. I have not seen any significant evidence of aspirin being immuno-suppressive except that it reduces fevers.

If you need a fever, then do not take aspirin, otherwise, aspirin is actually beneficial healthwise.

It is also known that taking low dose aspirin increases lifespan through several mechanisms.

So, just because a substance is classified as an NSAID does not mean that it is bad. However, if you are that concerned, just substitute bromelain. It also is an NSAID but confers several health benefits.
