Why then do we continue to be bound? I feel it is up to each one of us to recognize our Gift, embrace it with God-like confidence, and then present it to the World.

Great question. I enjoyed your answer but I feel it may not be that easy for some of us. Some of us need to fast and pray to get rid of bondages. Some of us need to seek the Holy Spirit, after all it is not by our might or power but by His Spirit sayeth the Lord. Some of us need to seek faith. It is a fruit as well as a gift. We gain the fruit of the Spirit by being filled with Him. We gain the gifts of the Spirit as He chooses to give them to us, however, He has said in His word that we are to earnestly desire them and seek them.
