Why did the multitude follow Jesus?

The Holy Bible promises that we can do even mightier works than Jesus. Why then do we continue to be bound? I feel it is up to each one of us to recognize our Gift, embrace it with God-like confidence, and then present it to the World.
Just do what you know to do with the Faith of the woman with the Issue-of-Blood......WY
