Re: Water fast and quit smoking.. I had an "aha" moment.

Archus,
I smoked my last cigarette yesterday morning when I woke up. I felt okay most of the day, I did have some cravings, but tried to stay focused on other things. I did spend quite a bit of time yesterday, looking at this website for motivation: http://whyquit.com/

There is alot of information, videos and stories. I was deeply saddened by the stories of people that have died from smoking. A 39 year old woman documented her fight with stage 4 cancer, and wrote a journal about it. I read her journal, and I just kept asking myself "why" would I intentionally want to do this to myself?! I have tried to quit several times in the past, and would just give up, and give in to the nicotine cravings. In my mind I think that this "wouldn't happen to me".. but as I read her journal, THIS IS REAL LIFE... It is scary to actually SEE what it has done to people. Seriously, you should suggest your family members to check out this website. It is a real eye-opener.

I started my Water Fast today, I feel pretty good about starting it now. (I will post more as I continue) I know this Water Fast will help to get rid of toxins, and help eliminate the nicotene cravings, as well as start a new healthy life and be free from these chains I am bound to. I don't know how long this fast will last, I am only going to take one day at a time.
