My lips definitely did not just need to be moisturized. My lips got white with contact with water. I also had enlarged fordyce spots on upper lip, which made triangular area and thin line on vermillion border raw. I took this photo when my upper lip was temporarily healed (from what appeared to be allergy-related factor, but maybe not). Moisturizers have not helped my lips much just like moisturizers do not help actinic cheilitis lips much. But I think my lip problem was increased fibroblasts, which seem to be decreasing with my current treatment since my raw skin has healed and lips appear normal now like they are producing collagen on their own.
