Vitamin C Prevents and Treats Osteoporosis

This a great validation study on just one of the benefits of vitamin C. Researchers at the prestigious Mount Sinai School of Medicine have demonstrated yet another benefit from taking vitamin C. It protects against osteoporosis, a condition affecting 10 million Americans and more than 34 million with low bone mass. In China, 69 million have osteoporosis. The researchers found that large doses of vitamin C (10,000mg+) worked best. Beyond vitamin C, this is a good study on the benefits of vitamins in restoring healthy function and structure. Although this study used ascorbic acid, it may  be best to take buffered vitamin C to avoid excess acidity that can be associated with ascorbic acid - http://candidaplan.com/blog/611/vitamin-c-prevents-and-treats-osteoporosis/
