it seems most doctors and medical professionals have very specific ways of dealing with very specific situations, and don't much like to deviate from that
When you have situation X, you take action Y, etc. etc.
They aren't very good at adapting quickly to a quickly changing situation, thinking creatively, or even much thinking for themselves. They just don't think like that
Sounds like in this situation they were presented with an unusual case that didn't meet their preconceived parameters and therefore they just didn't know what to do, and they tragically let a patient die
Sorry for the loss of this man. I truly hope that someday we can integrate all of the effective cancer treatments together and kick this thing in the ass
