The book you read was not printed in Thailand. They are printed in India, if you had a closer look at the back cover, you could find a clause like "For sale in India and Pakistand only". I agree that the quality is poor and I have a few of them. To copy an English book and sold here is beyond immagination and would not work. In Thailand there are less than a handful of people reading English books unlike India, the population is a 15 times bigger. They read, write and speak English as second language and medium language as there are over 100 languages in India. There you'll find all types of copied books, paperbacks, textbooks. I even have the extension of "Gone with the Wind", of course not written by Margaret Mitchell.
Speaking about quality, have you ever had a good look at Thai version of National Geographic, Reader's Digest, Elle, Wallpaper?
The raw mat and labor cost in Thailand is lower than U.S.A. so the printwer can call for low minimum requirement interpret into the lower investment. The shipping cost may not be high but a good research is needed. You don't need services of DHL, U.P.S. Just ship by L.C.L.
I'm comfortable with my present income as a trader. The reason that I offer my help is for the sheer joy in bringing a book for health conscious enthusiasts. To any Budhist, the knowledge contribution in any form is the highest kind of merit making.
