I did have pale stools but not consistently. There were periods of time when I was really sick that I did observe pale stools. Keep in mind that my bile never stopped flowing completely, it was just thick. The samples taken during a gastroscopy during which my gallbladder was stimulated to produce bile tested positive for cholesterol crystals, which should normally be in solution. Had it backed up completely, I may have developed cirrhosis.

Bile is necessary for the digestion of both proteins and fats. Avoidance helped to make me feel better, but didn't resolve the problem. The human body becomes compromised without proteins and fats.

So, armed with this information, I decided to jumpstart my bile production through a sequence of flushes. I won't go into the details, as you probably likely read my general story already.

I'm finding that I still have to supplement with Bile Salts (Cholacol or Pure Ox Bile) since I foolishly gave up my Gall Bladder. Tweet
