Re:acidic, bitter, foamy, urine, on fast for mouth infection
Thank you vairagi, I appreciate this info and also the info in the private messages. It's all very helpful and interesting.
I've been on an excellent, mostly alkaline diet for so many years. My urine has not been acidic before, so I did not think I would need to test it during the fast.
I have previously been doing some chelation per cutler method, and perhaps that stirred up something. Also, I did the salt/C therapy (with much success) and I wonder if the extreme saltiness of my urine on days two and three was my body's way of clearing out sodium that it was holding in the tissues. (And I also wonder whether, now that the salt is reduced, borrelia infection will resume.)
I've been reading in Martha Christy's book about acidosis, which can be caused by liver or adrenal disorders, as well as emotional issues, starvation, and such. (Maybe my body thought I was starving?) I do struggle with fatigue, but do not have the other symptoms typical of acidosis. Still, perhaps the acidity from morning to night is my body's way of clearing out the excess acidity.
Christy writes,"If you find that your urine is very acid, add a pinch of baking soda to the urine you'll be ingesting to reduce the acidity." I had to add more than a pinch, more like a half teaspoon, to make a measurable difference in the acidity--but it tastes much better!
Is there good info on curezone about adrenal fatigue? I'm thinking that's a place to start. If I take bovine organ extracts, can I combine that with urine fasting? I'm confused about which kinds of supplements can be taken during fasting or more intense UT. Christy recommends homeopathy.
Thank you.
