I know that acid reflux is not uncommon on a water fast, but none of the books I read mentioned it as a major problem that would persist for so long. At this point, I have had reflux for 12 days, about half the length of my fast.

Also, isn't it toxic to have acid and bile in my body for so long? They have been churning in my stomach for 12 days now. If the stuff is going into my esophagus instead of into the bowel, how can my body detox?

I tried sipping hot water when the problem first started. It did not help. I will try it again, but I doubt that it will make a difference this time around. Tweet
