How long is a healing crisis supposed to last?

Hi everyone.

I started a Water Fast for healing 24 days ago. For the first couple of weeks, everything was okay, as far as symptoms. I had headaches, Body Odor , dizziness, weakness, bad breath etc, as I expected. But about 12 days ago, I started to suffer from terrible nausea, and a day later I began to have acid reflux. The acid reflux has not abated since it started, so I have been enduring it for about 11 days now.

I never had a problem with acid reflux before this water fast. Everything I have read suggests that healing crises are supposed to last only a few days. I really want to continue the fast, as my goal is to fast for forty days if possible. Other than the reflux, I actually feel good. But I don't see how this reflux is healthy for my body. It seems that the junk is just recirculating and not going anywhere except up my esophagus. I have tried to induce vomiting several times using my fingers, but nothing comes up. I have tried drinking less water, more water and even no water but nothing helps.

I really want to continue this fast because I may never get another opportunity to do a Water Fast again and rest completely. But if I am harming my body, what is the point of it? Also, I have read that it is not good to end a fast during a healing crisis. But I am actually very disappointed with the experience now. It seems I just wasted 24 days and achieved nothing positive.
