Wheat free 4 months. O/T or maybe not.

I decided to quit wheat in May, inspired by Wombats gluten- free positives.

I have a family pattern of stuffed sinuses/allergy/ sneezing that I got under control with Iodine & co. Here is one of my first posts at the forum;
//www.curezone.org/forums/fm.asp?i=1363626#i

"Allergy symptomes improved 70%( sneezing, sinus problems)"

Reason why I did this is that after a trip to Italy, eating loads of pasta and bread, my sinus problems came back with a revenge + allergy like symptoms like running eyes and nose.
I didnt have much expectations at all, as I know I can take gluten fairly well.

-Within 14 days the sneezing and stuffiness was back to a level I can live with. What happened next was more interesting for me, as I no way expected it. A round of Iodine detox started; I know this so well, the bromide stench, eruptions etc. Fevers, all I had during the big detox 4 years ago, only milder and just for a week.

Then old mind / emotional patterns showed up, probably being buried for a while. I suddenly found my self standing up for myself, fighting back instead of accepting /taking in to much. In a few occations close friends / relatives jaws dropped an inch or two when I set in a few f!#&!phrases. Havent happened in a while :-)
Old emotional patterns showed up; a good thing, I know; coming up to be looked at and hopefully healed this time.
There has been some fire to say it the least. In a good way.

I had a little problem with differentiating the wheat quitting vs the fact that I started gold leaf supplementing about the same time. But now when I have been off the gold for a few weeks, I know approx what have caused what.

Anyway; I lost a few kilos, not much, as I didnt have much extra to shed. But slowly my body has returned somewhat to the years prior to my hypo T. Clothes I havent been able to use for a while, fit again, one size down.

I will continue to stay off the wheat/grains, unless I loose to much weight. I dont miss it either, but sometimes it is hard to eat out. So I have, like once a month, taken a little, like the other day. No reaction this time. Last time, a month ago, after a hamburger meal, I sneezed like 30 times at least, the day after.
IMO, in my case it is not the gluten; it is something wrong with the wheat in general.
I will have a go with the old fashioned, unaltered spelt and rye, to see if there is a difference.

"Most patients with food allergies also tend to have pyroluria, a stress phenomenon associated with excess pyrroles in the urine which bind vitamin B6 and zinc. Some allergies, such as those associated with wheat, are accompanied by damage to the intestinal mucosa (coeliac disease), resulting in the malabsorption of zinc and/or B6, as well as other nutrients. When the gut wall becomes more leaky this increases the chances of incompletely digested food proteins getting into the blood and causing allergy. Healing the digestive tract is therefore a prerequisite to dealing with allergies."

"Conditions such as thyroid abnormalities, diabetes, psychiatric disturbances, autoimmune issues and hives have all been linked to gluten intolerance. There is an association between gluten and an increased risk for malignant cancers in those with celiac disease. Partially-digested wheat gluten is associated with schizophrenia due to its ability to interfere with normal brain activity. Gluten sensitivity may vary from mild to severe and may never be diagnosed as celiac disease. It is not necessary to have celiac disease in order to suffer from the negative effects of gluten’s irritation and damage to the intestinal lining."
