Re: Thrush on tongue and diflucan.
I know this is a very old thread but I feel I should share my experience with others. If people think I should instead post in a completely new thread, please let me know.
I was suffering with fatigue, eczema, scalp problems and major sugar cravings for most of my life without realising until recently. It was only after developing a strange damp smell of the scalp that I began putting the 'dots' together (shampoo was uselesx).
This is when I began learning about how the body functioned, microflora, the GI tract, the immune system and soon it became a passion for me.
After I took some Xbiotic antifungals / Probiotics, my scalp smell disappeared almost over night but I was left with a white tongue.
I tried dakatarin oral gel, nystatin oral suspension, coconut oil, probiotics, changing my diet but nothing made a big difference until I tried covering the tongue with LifeTime Oregano Oil that was diluted with Olive Leaf ( 70% Carvacrol / 15% Oleuropein)
I could feel a burning sensation and the tongue was going back to normal but I couldn't use it frequently enough due to the potency and had to wait 4-5 days.
Lately I have been testing out Now Foods Beta Glucan and First Point Beta Glucan (aka Beta Glucan 300#).
This could just be a coincidence but I discovered that instead of taking 3-5 days for my tongue to recover from Origano oil, instead it would only take one night. I also noticed that when using a tongue cleaner, it no longer hurt as much as it used to due to being sensative after Oregano oil.
I take 2 'First Point' capsules in the morning (500mg each) and then 2 'Now Foods' capsules at night before bed (100 mg each), both on an empty stomach.
I have been able to apply this Oregano oil to get rid of the white without having to wait so long.
At the moment I am in the process improving my diet, taking vegetable supplements to aid this too (Garden Of Life PF), probiotics (Renew Life 50 bil), drinking more water, testing Beta Glucan to see if it will help activate my immune system, moderate exercise, avoiding too many confectionery and most importantly, my sugar cravings are under complete control and my fatigue has gone. I feel great and the knowledge I have gained has allowed me to help others too.
The Beta Glucan may not work for everyone but it is worth mentioning and certainly worth a try.
