Re: another treatment for HPV
I might get a multivitamin made from a compounding pharmacy that includes the right dosages I need. The dosages in a typical multivitamin are generally too low if one is lacking vitamins. Perhaps my celiac disease causes malabsorption of vitamins, but I admit I have not had a regular diet that includes all the vitamins I need.
Since high dosages of vitamin C can excrete in urine, it is best to take it in smaller dosages throughout the day. My nutritionist recommended 3,000 mg of vitamin C because it is a good dosage for all people, not just because I have viruses. So, I might order 1,000 mg of vitamin C and take it 3x/day. She also recommended 4,000 IU of vitamin D, but I have only been taking 1,000 IU of vitamin D.
I am going to include these additional virus fighting supplements in a custom multivitamin:
-500 mg vitamin E
-200 mg selenium
-25 mg zinc (need to add 3 mg of copper with it)
-high dose of beta cartotene
-bioflavonoids (do not need to add this one if I eat at least 6 veggies and fruits per day)
-1/2 ts flaxseed oil
I am still researching possible supplements that increase interferon. I included the ones I found so far (above). I think I might see the most difference by increasing my intake of vitamin C and vitamin D.
