A friend of mine is a beekeeper and has 500 hives that he uses to pollinate almond orchards in California. Then he moves them into Arizona to collect the honey from Mesquite trees.

I asked him if he had any problems with them and he mentioned that they had mites that harmed them. These mites are visible to the eye and cling to the bees body. They were introduced from Europe about twenty years ago.

Any suggestions for that?
