Re: monday going for a detailed check up!!
JSL,
Me and my father have agreed not to get him involved with the medical side of my condition because he has hooked me up with my doctors and I have my doctors email and cell number. So if I have questions about this we have agreed that I will contact my doctor.
You have to understand that my dad is the CMO at a brand new cancer center that he helped build, and is EXTREMELY busy. I mean he averages about 7-10 surgeries a day and is known to take all the most difficult cases that other surgeons won't touch. So I hope you understand when I tell you I don't feel as though I should bother him with this.
All that being said, I can pretty much tell you what that says. Hyperkeratosis is just the crust buildup. And it says that within the crust scales there are both fungal and bacterial infections present, but the pathologist doesn't know whether these are the cause, or whther they are secondary (or caused because of the lack of oral hygiene due to the crusts).
But in the end the pathologist says he thinks It may be a fungal infection which caused bacterial buildup.
I just don't understand why your doctor didn't discuss this with you or give you anything to treat your fungal/bacterial infections. It seems as though there was a very large amount of fungal infection present, so I'm surprised he didn't prescribe you Diflucan for fungal/yeast infection and an
Antibiotic for the bacteria.
If I were you, I would take this to a doctor and see what they think. But personally I think the fungal/bacterial is secondary, as I also had bacterial (staph) and took the necessary
Antibiotics with no effect.
