If u have alot of swelling try adding potassium and stop the salt and see if there is any improvement.

Edema can indicate many problems.

Salt holds water in the cells and potassium takes it out.

As far as iodine, Trappers advice on higher doses might help, but I don't have an experience to share.

I took 100mg per day of Lugol's for a month with no real detox problems.
