Re: No More Leaving Alone

HeavinglyHealing,

I agree that many EC sufferers do not come back to this forum because it is like going around in circles. That is why I am thinking of taking all these nonstandard tests (outside the box) that conventional doctors do not usually give. I would prefer to see a doctor like Dr. Oz, and he is into more alternative medicine.

Others might have had a different experience, but this has been my experience. Others can't deny my experience- even if their experience is different since it is my experience. I also read this in a book,

"Conventional medical education is not based on true analytical thinking skills, but is rather based on rote memorization of what drugs should be given for disease x, y, or z. Everything is taught in cookbook fashion: For disease x, use tests a, b, or c and treat with drugs d, e, or f. Because of this cookbook educational process, the doctors are not thinking through the entire process of what could be going wrong with the patient: they are just going through the motions of some failed protocols that they learned from the residents and interns before them. They are not taught to inquire thoroughly about symptoms.

Most doctors do not read recent medical journals. They just keep practicing the way they had been taught in medical school 10-20 years earlier. It has also been shown that when doctors do read medical journals, 70% of their time is spent reading the advertisements. They rarely take the time to read the actual study, but instead, merely scan the advertisements and the study summaries. This is a major problem because whoever paid for the study, which is usually a drug company, will influence the conclusions reached. Doctors will not change the way they are treating patients unless they have overwhelming evidence."
