The reason I'm so sure is because after 7 years of this forum with every single person trying every single medicine, cream, anything that can be thought of...it has been tried. Maybe a few things of course haven't been, but it is very likely that it will produce the same results--none.
Why am I so sure this will work? It's pretty simple...the body knows how to heal itself with almost anything nature can throw at it, as long as it isn't a terminal disease (which some can still be held off by exercise and eating habits)the body can overcome it.
This is simply peeling lips. We peel the skin off, the body see's that we are missing skin, it grows it back. We peel it off again, it grows it back again. Granted it's the most annoying way to heal something by not touching it, and I still don't have an answer as to why it takes so long...but I have given my theories and there are several of them, and they seem very logical to me.
Chapstick caused my lips to swell over the years. Eventually they were so big they started drying out. I have to wait for them to reduce to their normal size, which is taking months...but they are getting smaller. Once they reach their normal size they will stop peeling.
The sides of my top lip barely peel at all anymore, they just flake, they haven't produced any crusts at all in over a month. That is proof enough to me that this is working, when you consider the fact that in my early pictures I had huge crusts on the sides of my top lip. The rest of my lips are following. Once they reduce their size they will quit building up just like the sides have. But it takes time...lots of it. That's why I constantly stress the importance of weekly pictures because your mind honestly cannot remember the details from 3 months ago, and you will personally believe you haven't gotten better if you don't have something to look back at.
I have also personally talked to the two people that I have listed on my site who are 100% cured. That means they used to have peeling lips, and they no longer have peeling lips at all, their lips are perfectly normal.
Now, if my progress was getting worse, then yes I would question my method, however my progress has not gotten worse, it has only gotten better. So logically it will continue to get better until there is no more better to get, which will be healed.
Every other method has been tried, but the only people who have truly been cured from this, whether they did some crazy diet or not also appear to have quit picking at their lips.
It is my promise and goal to find at least one way to cure myself from peeling lips. If you find another, less embarrasing way, then awesome! I can only hope. I will gladly put your post as a reference on my site so others can do your method when you find it, but as for me, I will do this for as long as it takes, even if another cure is found just to show that this can be beat at least another way.
This is a team effort we are doing, so I am very glad you are taking different approaches. I honestly didn't expect anyone to commit to my method until I was finished anyways. But I wanted to let people have the option to watch me either way, because I think it's important that we at least have hope and someone determined enough to see if it truly works...and have documented proof at the same time.
