My mom seems to have this same problem with low potassium and there has to be an adrenal connection.

She uses a corticosteroid inhaler which keeps the adrenals from functioning properly.

She has no problem with 100mg of Lugol's which is only 60mg KI, but has big problems

with only 6 drops of SSKI which is 180 mg of KI.

Lugols 5% has 7.5 KI per horizontal drop
SSKI has 30 mg per drop

I will try the potassium chloride 1/2 tsp 3 times per day and see if her runny nose/sneezing stops with 6 drops of sski.
