Re: Getting Mirena out tomorrow!
Thanks for the post! I had it removed this morning, it took about 4 attempts to retrieve it. Apparently the strings had gravitated up around it, and instantly my back pain was 100% better. My husband said he thought that part was in my mind, but I honestly felt better immediately! The Dr. showed it to me to prove it was intact, but it was extremely bloody (I was already spotting). I don't remember the first being that way.
I had my vestibular problems diagnosed through rotary chair, caloric, and VEMP testing. You will probably have to have that done at a major medical place. The Dr.'s refused me these tests for a long time, because according to them if it was something vestibular I should have been far dizzier. Eventually they gave in, and it showed bilateral vestibular dysfunction. I went through weeks of vestibular rehab with no change in symptoms.
My polyneuropathy was diagnosed through EMG's with the shock (EMV?) It was done to basically rule out ALS, which it did thank God! It was considered an abnormal study. The tester went over the results immediately, and he was unsure what the problem was. He said he looked more like MS, but with no plagues, it will be a longer road to diagnosis.
