Re: Iodine made me Hyperthyroid?
Doctors tests always confuse me. I prefer to listen to my body, checking the symptoms myself and adjusting elements accordingly.
The symptoms you mention looks more like hypo T to me. Take your basal temp a few mornings and find out right away. If hyper it will be over 37 C, like 37.5 or thereabout. If hypo it will be 36 ish.
Check your skin; if dry = hypo. If moist or clammy = hyper
Racing thought,restlessness = hyper. etc. Palpitations can be both.
So can insomnia and anxiety.
One reason I can think of making trouble for your test is the companion list from your former post;
"I do take a multi vitamin that has 125mg of Selenium, as well as 3 Brazil nuts per day. I also eat mostly raw fruits and vegetables and probably easily meets the Vitamin B, C and Magnesium needs. Or maybe not?"
A multi vitamin CAN NOT meet the companion needs when taking
Iodine in higher dosages. When I got hypo T I was a vegetarian with the best diet; and I couldnt meet neither B, C, magnesium even on 10 units of the best greens, fruits + herbs, lots of raw food +++, or
Iodine in the form of sea food and kelp.
Check out if the selenium is in the right form! If to little selenium vs
Iodine = hyper T in tests.

For a bare minimum take 200 mcg selenium methionine, maybe 400 mcg for some weeks.
A complex B
vit C, 3-4 grams, ascorbic acid or magnesium ascorbate.
6-800 mg magnesium (important for hypo and hypers!)
Load up with real salt.
Some zinc will help too.
