Everything I keep hearing about Mirena is scary and bad. If I were you, I'd have that thing removed asap. I know there is a Mirena forum on here where there are tons of horror stories. For the record, birth control pills in general, anything messing with your estrogen, etc., is bad news. Best to find an alternative forum of BP. I would suggest finding a knowledgable naturopath who is well versed in endocrine / female hormones. They are going to be much more knowledgable and open minded to the Mirena theory than your typical MD, who IMO, most of the time doesn't know squat. Tweet
