I'm not sure what you are trying to say in your post.

If you don't have a doctor who takes your experiences into consideration, than you have the wrong doctor. If DepressedLips has tried lots and lots of creams and that's what he told them and they still told him to use sunscreen, then he was seeing incompetent doctors, maybe.

"I blame doctors because they normally are the masters on the matter": they aren't "masters" in this condition, but you can't blame them for that. Noone is. And doctors probably never will be. There are thousands of treatments that were tried on EC, and not one treatment cured it (more or less). So what do you think "seeking further" can do? Most doctors have never seen EC, so one doctor treating maybe one EC patient... how are they ever supposed to get forward? How are they supposed to just come up with some miracle cure just like that? It's not going to happen. And you can't blame them...

Blaming a doctor that doesn't care about you and your condition and that thinks he knows it all and prescribes some cream that you know is useles... I guess that's ok. But blaming doctors for not finding a cure (because there might not be one!), I don't think that's the way to go. My derm researched the issue, read articles (e.g. the Psoriasis of the lips article), talked to others at conferences... She can only do so much.
