Re: hellow everyone

I'll let myself get tested for gluten sensitivity but will keep up my gluten free diet until then. There is more than enough to eat even when living gluten free, so it's not in everything. :) In many organic grocery stores, at least here in Germany, there are a lot of products that have a little "gluten free" symbol that was introduced by our German Celiac association.

Yea, oats does contain gluten, but only a little bit I think, compared to other grains. So don't eat wheat, rye, barley, oat, unripe spelt grain, spelt and related grains (e.g. kamut (if that's the english term)) and everything containing those. Eat things like millet, buckwheat, amaranth, or quinoa instead. A great breakfast reciepe that I make almost everyday: 3 Tsp millet, 3 Tsp buckwheat, 1.5 Tsp amaranth, "shred" them in a blender, put into a pan with 1 large cup of water and 2 sliced bananas, let that cook until consistency is mash like, add blended nuts/seeds and lots of fresh food. :)

I agree that focusing on one thing (or rather many things at once) to heal this might end up hurting my body in other ways. Since getting this condition, I have lost about 10kg in weight, and was already pretty thin before it started. I do blame the most part on the Depression that I've developed since the EC started, but me eating a lot differently than before might have also contributed a bit.
