I urge you to try what I did it completely took care of mine but it did take some time and diligence!

Check with your doctor first but it worked for me and I am so relieved! I am 50 years old and have had three children and had some hemorrhoids from that and time to time in life but never like what I just experienced this past April when I contracted C-difficile from my ill and dying mother in law. That is a bacterial infection you can get from older patients in hospitals which is how I got it. I had diarrhea so bad from it that it caused me to have a huge hemorrhoid the size of a kidney bean. That terrified me as I had never had one like that before and it was terribly painful and I did not want to have it surgically removed because all I have read about that it how painful it is. And I was embarrassed about it too!

I read up on it, looking at a lot of suggestions how to get rid of it, consulted my doctor and then decided my plan of attack so to speak and I promise you it worked for me but it did take about 3 weeks before I could tell it was working and at least 4 before it was gone. For the initial pain my doctor told me to take 800mg of ib prophin for the swelling and pain every six hours, did that for about a week, wipe with Preparation H wipes then spray with Dermoplast pain relieving antibacterial spray,the spray numbs the area which takes your mind off of it! Did the spray for about a week then I didn't feel like I needed that anymore.

Get a "donut" pillow to sit or lay on at least while you are at home,it really helps! I would have liked to sit on it at work too but was too embarrassed to do that but it helps to lay on it at night so you are not putting pressure on that area while you sleep.

Before bed I inserted one Preperation H suppository so that in the morning when I had a bowel movement it helped not to hurt and in the morning I would drink on glass of water with one tablespoon of stool softener mixed in.I can't remember the name of it but you couldn't taste it so it was real easy to drink my doctor recommended that but if you have IBS you might not need the stool softener check with your doctor. After all of these things that did help,I still had it.

So that is when I panicked and got online to read what others suggested then I bought some Zink Oxide ointment at Walmart for about $5 and alternated with putting that on after every time I went to the bathroom during the day and at night I would do the prepH suppository and also some prep H ointment.

After the first week I did notice it was finally shrinking then by the second week of that I did that it was finally GONE!

I tried store brands of hemorrhoid ointment but I feel the Prep H works best! And I really believe the Zinc Oxide ointment helped a lot,it is normally used for diaper rash and poison ivy.

It was a lot less expensive than some of the other things recommended online. I truly hope this information helps someone!
