Female hair loss help

Per my earlier thread, my first week of the Iodine protocol was a little rougher than I'd anticipated. So I'm restarting on Sunday with a lower dosage to play it safe (1 drop in water, then only drinking 1/3 of it).

I have all of the symptoms of hypothyroid: hair loss and weight gain over a very short period, suddenly irregular menstrual cycles, major Acne breakout. I was on Lithium from September to April, which is when all of this coincided. The symptoms really ramped up from February to April.

I've been off Lithium and all other psych meds since then (and I feel fine...shows how much the psych docs know). However, the symptoms haven't reversed or stopped.

That's what led me to the Iodine protocol. My mother in law (a retired doctor) recommended it based on my symptoms.

My question is this: I know that everyone is different, but as a woman, the hair loss is very disturbing. It was so sudden too, and now my hair is very thin. What is the usual experience for people for bromide toxificity/hypothyroid symptoms to start reversing?

I'm not happy with the weight and acne, but those are more manageable. The hair, assuming it does return (per what most people say), is pretty devastating.

Is there anything else I can do besides the Iodine protocol? My iron tested very low, so I've started a supplement for that, and I've read that low iron and hypo go hand in hand. Anything else I can do? Will Rogaine for women help at all?

Thanks for listening and your input.
