I like to grate it, like you shred carrots, you know...
Then I put it in a tall glass, and pour........ ginger ale....... on top of it, and suspend the ginger shreds by stirring with spoon just before I take a drink and swallow. such method enables me to consume a lot of ginger in a cool, refreshing beverage sort of way.
I used it when I had a tooth infection a couple years ago. Its some strong shlt when you ingest enough of it.
