How can you say hypothyroidism is the "disease du jour" when it is so rampant? Once again, do some research. Hypothyroidism is hyper common and this is based not on fads but on blood tests in labs. If the blood tests were more accurate, as they initially failed to be with me, there would be even higher numbers diagnosesd. Even check people you know. You will find some who have hypothyroidism and need meds to feel okay - though many may not be getting the medicine
they really need, Armour, or at the levels they need.
Your dismissive attitude toward what is a serious and more & more common problem in our society is not helpful. I have it. If I didn't take the Armour thyroid I would be mostly nonfunctional. I don't take the medicine to support a fad! I've researched hypothyroidism extensively from many angles. I know it is a serious probllem nationally. If you don't eat organic foods but eat those sprayed with bromide or if you eat a lot of soy or a lot of goitrogen (as in juicing) you are at risk yourself as it is so very common.
Research before you try to dismiss others' health concerns.
