Re: Adrenal and thyroid?

Hi littleiodine,

The NP I recently went to wants me to build my adrenals first. I have been doing different forms of Iodine off and on for several years with appropriate companions. I went through menopause in the past few years, so perhaps my adrenals are even more taxed. Everything is out of whack, HPAT-wise.

She wants me to do the Vitamin C Flush

While I was waiting for it to arrive, I upped my Reacta-C from 3 grams to 6 grams daily.

She also wanted me to do more Bs. I was already doing a B complex, Bee Pollen, sublingual B12 (methylcobalamin, high dose Niacin and extra B2. Whew!

So, I bought her brand of B-complex in the office that only prescribers can sell, a pharmaceutical grade. It has the L-5 methyltetrahydrofolate, which some folks with methylation issues may need. Won't know the exact status until labs come back.

She also advised me to take salt in tomato juice, since when I take it in water it gives me diarrhea really fast(powdered Vitamin Research Council ascorbic acid added as well sometimes), making it confusing for me to know what I was saturated in. I was also afraid of running my potassium too low. She said she does not care if the salt gives her diarrhea. Her adrenals need the salt. So she gave me courage and redirected me. I have been using V8 and have been able to tolerate 1 tsp in 12 ounces without any bowel issues. I also salt the heck out of my food.

I can tell a major difference already in just a few days of these changes. Just got my 100% fully reduced, buffered L-ascorbate today, so will do the flush tomorrow. Am curious to see exactly how much my body needs.

Hang in there.

Bev
