Re: Iodine, libido, weight loss, bone growth!

Cougar,

I have recently learned some ABSOLUTELY VITAL information about our thyroid that I posted at Marks Daily Apple Iodine Group. THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING !
http://www.marksdailyapple.com/forum/thread45205-256.html#post844257

All of this blood testing with TSH, T4, T3, RT3 etc etc is just a bunch of BS designed to confuse us.

Here is how simple this is. The thyroid controls body temperature. It doesn't matter how or why. If our body temp is below 98.3 (before getting out of bed,) we are Hypothyroid and we have hypo symptoms like cold hands & feet. PERIOD. 90% of us are hypothyroid. Solution? Take Natural Thyroid Hormone (None Other)and slowly titrate up until body temp = 98.3 & continue taking Iodine supplements. Some of us will have permanently damaged thyroids ( from Iodine Deficiency our entire lives ) and must take NTH for the rest of our lives. Many of us can slowly reduce our NTH as our thyroids heal from taking iodine supplements.

When taking NTH we can reduce dosage when body temp exceeds 98.3 and symptoms of hyperthyroid appear (sweating, hot, etc). We simply chart our temp every morning as follows:

IS THIS GREAT INFORMATION OR WHAT?
=========================================
Now about Low Energy. When your temp chart = 98.3 your energy will return. You are hypothyroid, prove this with your temp chart, and start on NTH. Your winter troubles should come to an end.

About your autoimmune assumption:

Are you taking ALL of these required supplements?
==================================================
- - ½ tsp Natural Celtic Salt
- - 200+ mcg selenium (L-selenomethionine preferred)
- - 400 mcg Magnesium - Glycinate preferred
- - 2,000mg+ Vitamin C - Ester-C preferred
- - ATP Cofactors - contains B2 & B3 in the correct ratio
ALL are important especially the ATP Cofactors to prevent Hashi. You need 1 ATP cofactors for each 50mg of iodine.

From the Yahoo Iodine Group:
=============================
How to Treat Autoimmune Thyroid Disorders
1. Ingest enough iodine in order to provide adequate substrate to iodinate lipids.(50mg daily)
2. Take ATP Cofactors in amounts necessary to stimulate the
NADPH system to produce adequate amounts of H2O2.
3. Correct oxidant stress in the thyroid gland and the mitochondria with antioxidants.
4. Ensure adequate magnesium levels.
5. Minimize oxidative stress in the body.

Hope this helps,
Grizz
