Re: Starting a 50-days water fast.
50 days is a laudable goal, but I just wanted to mention that most all professionally qualified fasting supervisors would advise taking any fast of this potential length, to be taken one day at a time.
The reasoning behind this, is that certain developments can dictate the breaking of a fast at any stage, in the interests of safety, such as any "sudden" drop in blood pressure, (a BP Monitor would be advisable here) and the very real risk of an electrolyte deficiency in the latter stages (30 to 50 days): Dr Fuhrman MD broke his own water-only-fast on day 46 for this very reason.
The length of a fast can also be dictated by the quality or otherwise of your internal food reserves.
I also noticed from your blog that you will be drinking some tea and coffee, which in the view of many would be counterproductive in the body being unable to conserve these very same food reserves as well as it might. However, water-only according to thirst will conserve your food reserves to the maximum possible extent.
Sorry to be such a damp squib, but I wanted to make sure you are aware of all of the above, before you go much further into your fast.
Take care
