Low thyroid is not an issue at all for what? Difficulty losing weight? That makes no sense to me since it's well documented that trouble losing weight is one of the most common symptoms of low thyroid. Maybe I misunderstood you.
As for "pushing myself to workout" . . . that is part of what got me in the health predicament I am in right now. I was at the height of my fitness in cycling in 2010, having trained more than I ever had and entered my first three road races. I was so excited to see how I would progress, but all of a sudden I found myself unable to keep up on a group ride and that's when all of my symptoms began. My body was telling me to slow down and figure out the source of my problems.
So, I don't "not work out" out of fear or because I'm lazy. I'm dying to get back out there and regain my fitness and ride stronger than I ever have. It's not mental. It's physical.
Thanks for the inspiration, though. I appreciate the efforts! ;)
