Buddha Amitabha Drubchen
Harmony,
For your pet or loved one’s benefit you can make a small donation to this special Amitabha Ceremony that is taking place now in India.
Performing virtuous actions in another person's name is called 'transferring merit'. In Buddhism, it is commonly known that while you generate a virtuous action then you receive ALL the positive merits... yet it is little known that you can TRANSFER these positive merits on the behalf of another person who is deceased or still alive and suffering.
Even if you miss the deadline (below) you can still create merits for past virtue that was done. Just make wishing prayers that this merit goes towards the deceased's consciousness.
From Ayang Rinpoche:
"The Annual 1 billion Buddha Amitabha Drubchen began April 6, 2012 at Ayang Rinpoche's monastery, Dechen Chokhor Ling in the Mundgod Tibetan Settlement, South India. Please continue to send in your accumulated mantras until April 20th for the Annual 1 billion Buddha Amitabha Drubchen, being held at Ayang Rinpoche’s monastery in South India.
The Drubchen will be complete April 21st. The goal of the Drubchen is to accumulate merit, bring peace, and remove obstacles challenging the world in these difficult times. The Drubchen is being led by Khenpo Tenzin of Rinpoche’s Bylakuppe Monastery. All the monks, nuns, khenpos and rinpoches will be accumulating 1 billion Buddha Amitabha mantras."
