One can make sauerkraut cheaply and easily to get probiotics. Kombucha is cheap to make, but not as easy.
I have some sensitivity to milk products but personally can tolerate a small amount of yogurt & kefir okay, daily. Plus they seem to cause no allergy symptoms when added to enemas.
I do take probiotics in pill form, but how does one know for sure that they are really working well? What data do we have to show any particular company's is effective, other than what they put on the label? With live foods in addition to pills it seems one is more secure.
