Re: Mebendazole slated to be discontinued!
Mebendazole was discontinued some time ago by its Brand name manufacturer, and now by its Generic maker. No good reason given, and they may or may not resume. (The FDA may have had a hand in this, as they have to keep themselves busy and finding minuscule problems with production; especially when there are newer, more profitable drugs.) This is an old line drug, used for many, many children as well as adults for many years, with a low incidence of side-effects. I have used it many times with only one reported problem from a patient. Just about every other anti-parasitic drug has caused more side-effects. Considering that between a fourth and half of everyone sports parasites, with minimal to severe consequences,
parasite infestation should be considered by physicians generally as contributing to symptoms, but rarely have I heard of other physicians treating parasites. Apparently this is considered only a third-world problem. I have news for you folks,
parasites may actually be killing you, not the drug Mebendazole.
Black-Walnut will not kill all parasites, as many are systemic and not in the gut. Wake up!
