I take about 3-4 tablespoons a day, however, I do agree, it is very difficult to get down..somedays it's a struggle and I take less but then use more butter liberally.
Have you tried the coconut butter in favor of the oil? I do take a good tablespoon of this a day too. It's much better, it is all of the meat of the coconut with the oil intact so it's not just oil. I use Artisana, it's good stuff! =)
