Unfortunately, the wife will not entertain anything other than what the breeder recommends. Knowing that the breeder weens the puppies on raw beef mince, it strange that they don't recognise the contradiction of then insisting on such a highly-processed kibble food for the rest of their lives.

We won't have any more dogs after these so if I can nurse them through the remaining years in fairly good health, I won't be faced with this dilema again. Shame but owning and feeding a dog doesn't sit well with my newfound vegan beliefs.
