Yes, some people have put Iodine on their feet if they're afraid of the potential reaction. If people are horribly deficient they will get an initial spark from foot Iodine as the body is so greedy for any source.

One of the fibromyalgia posters here started with Lugol's on her foot and it changed her life. She then went to Lugol's and Iodoral. She is now off pain killers.
